Hare, R. C. recipient
Describes an Italian P.O.W. camp where caualties were injured indirectly as a result of accidents in attempting to escape injury rather than directly from fragments. These indirect injuries were considerably higher from air attack than from artillery attack. Assuming the indirect casualties are any criterion of an effect on morale from the attack, air attack was more effective than artillery attack in reducing morale.
