Describes the birth of twin macaques, delivered by caesarean section by Gertrude Van Wagenen. Fulton describes it as a "unique speciman" as he does not know of other twin macaques. All the monkeys had lost weight in the extreme summer temperatures, the babies amazingly survived. Van had given up her holiday in Halifax. Fulton is working on the early years of Harvey Cushing's life for the biography. He describes letters written by Cushing between 1887 and 1891 whilst at Yale. Fulton asks for more details of a contingent which was prevented from going to Russia. He mentions his own contingent which got through but was having trouble returning. Det Bronk and Harlow Shapley were part of it. Material on nerve should be available for the Missile Casualties Conference. Newton Harvey and Fulton had written a chapter on wounding for a monograph on peripheral nerve surgery, brought out by the Harvey Cushing Society.
