SZ comments on the bad mail delivery service through official bags. A typescript of his latest paper should be appearing in the 'Lancet'. A further six investigations into blast are in progress. SZ hopes to come across to the United States to assist the N.R.C. Blast Committee. SZ describes the unsatisfactory work on water blast which had been carried out in the Navy Medical Services. SZ mentions briefly the effects of blast on the head, and the conditions under which concussion is likely. A paper on shock would follow, it shows the relationship between the energy behind the shock and the resultant trauma experienced.
