In part 2 experiments on the penetration of goats' chests are described. A discussion and conclusions follow. Diagrams of breast plates are included. Tables of casualties surveyed show various means of injury, from rifle and machine gun, shell and trench mortar, and air bombs. A table shows regional incidence of wounds from 48,290 cases admitted to Casualty Clearing Stations (CCS). An appendix gives measurements of chest areas. X-rays of the penetrated goat's chest are included, photographs of bullet holes in manganese steel plates, photographs of body armour, and photographs of soldiers wearing body armour.
