Scope and content

Results of experiments on fragmentation penetration data had been sent to O. Kempthorne. These include data on the shooting of balls, cubes, slabs, bars and splinters into the following targets: telephone directories; wood; 20% gelatine; and duralumin. Subsequent experiments had been carried out with Krohn and Burns and were concerned with the American flak-suit.
