Thanks SZ for his notes on Polaris which were passed on by Peter Gretton. John suggests SZ does not distribute the notes within the MOD until the Admiralty has had a chance to reconsile costings and consider alternatives. He also discusses Whitehall reorganisation, and insists that his recommendation that the DRPC chair be occupied by a senior administrative official rather than a scientist was not an attack on SZ.
