Cornford sets out the background of the Society of Environmental Engineers, and says that in its early days there were suspicions that it had been set up to assist Mr Weake, its president, in his job as a sales manager. Even though this no longer seems to be the case, SZ would "be well advised to steer clear."
Annotated on recto by Glyn Owen. Owen passes on a message that Admiral Martell asks SZ to consider the SEE's invitation favourably. Martell thinks Weake is "a very able electronics engineer."
