Scope and content

All responses to the Pugwash appeal have been received. Donations to SEAS amounted to approximately £21,000 and donations to Pugwash come to £2,700. Although the total is below the target, Peierls feels it is a "gratifying and a not unworthy tribute" to the memory of John Cockcroft. The money secures the United Kingdom's contributions to the central office, and covers the cost of sending delegates to symposia for some years.
