Scott believes that in terms of air traffic the 1980s "are tomorrow". By the day after tomorrow Stansted will be crowded and Goodwin Sands would be ideal for an airport to relieve pressure on Stansted. If the site were developed as a "Europort", European governments could contribute to the cost.
