Provides details of how a fund of £5,000 would be spent during an observational operation of the Loch Ness 'syndrome'. The nature of the monster, be it animate or marsh gas, is discussed, as well as the coincidence of sightings with blasting in the area by the Forestry Commission. A preponderance of sightings had been reported in Urquhart Bay and vantage points at the castle had been secured for surveillance. The equipment to be used and staffing of the operation are mentioned.
