Mr Lobbenberg has objected to his MP, Sir John Langford-Holt, about the new nationality rules, and the latter has raised it with Mr Healey. Williams says that the new rules do not represent security screening. Therefore Lobbenberg's belief that connections would be picked up by normal screening is erroneous. Nor is it the intention to put all potential officers and rank applicants to the Royal Navy and RAF through the full procedure. If SZ wishes to send a personal reply, Williams will be happy to prepare a draft.
