Scope and content

At the dinner given in SZ's honour by Mrs and Mr Halford, Kollmann told SZ about the idea to establish an International Academy of Wood Science. Kollmann discusses the idea further and encloses the International Association of Wood Anatomists'"News Bulletin" [SZ/CSA/138/90]. The British reaction has not been favourable, with only one scientist likely to join the secretariat. If SZ would like to join or persuade others to do so Kollmann would be grateful.
