Wiesner confirms that he did not approach Robert Maxwell or ask him to arrange a meeting with Harold Wilson. Wiesner told Maxwell that such a meeting would be inappropriate as he was to be in London as SZ's guest. Maxwell claimed that the government would not object. Wiesner thinks that the fact that he will be in London for only a short time should enable him to avoid the meeting.
