Price will be house-hunting next week but can come in to the office at short notice. He is depressed about "the Navy's allegations of bias" and is disappointed that the Admiralty is "behaving in so slimy a fashion" when the sea is Price's "abiding passion." He thinks it started when he gently criticised a naval planning paper that spoke of "retaining command of the seas" but said nothing about the difficulties in fighting a pack of nuclear submarines.
