The Committee was established on 4.2.65 to advise the Secretary of State for Education and the Minister of Technology on manpower resources for science and technology, assuming the functions of the ACSP’s Scientific Manpower Committee. It was chaired by Sir Willis Jackson. SZ was not a member, but as Chief Scientific Adviser to HM Government received copies of the Committee’s minutes and papers.
