Discusses Kenneth Mellanby's position with regard to his work on casualty surveys and his return to the United Kingdom.

It is suggested that Bull be signalled for. He is requested to report to a hospital area to study Allied casualties. Thomson would get in touch with Bull after his arrival if he has not already moved to Sicily. In the interval, Burns would do what he could about the casualty problem.
