Scope and content

SZ reports on the position with regard to the collecting of materials. He mentions that the photographs are very valuable and that Thomson would be reimbursed for any he takes. An estimate of the total number of bombs which fell on [Tripoli] is sought. Air raid precautions data, road damage data, War Damage Commission reports and separate incidents reports are used to establish this information. Thomson's house to house enquiry would form the basis of SZ's third and final report. He is hoping to hear of Thomson's new posting. SZ asks for construction details of a building concerning a bombing on 5/1/41. He hopes that in Thomson's house to house enquiry he will be separating German from British incidents. SZ asks if there is any information available on railway damage.
