SZ is asked to comment on any reports of the Operational Research Section. Colonel Ent never communicated with Calcutt. The Ninth United States Army Air Force (USAAF) had an Operational Analysis Section of their own and would probably carry out their own work. Copies of their work would be sent to SZ as arranged by Calcutt.

A tendency still existed to use old methods of bomb fusing. An assessment was being carried out on the damage resulting from the two different types of fusing.
