Buchan feels that given the recent publication of Webster and Frankland's book, the interest in the BBSU will not be as great as it could have been. Webster and Frankland will be accepted as the standard work. A publisher's reaction will possibly be that the report has missed its market. The general reader, in an age of 50 megaton bombs, will be satisfied with Webster and Frankland. Buchan admits he could be wrong and SZ should approach Lovat Dickson of MacMillan, John Bell of OUP, or Allen & Unwin but he will have to clearly indicate that the report contradicts Webster and Frankland. Cuts in size will also be necessary. Other options include photostat copies for libraries and staff colleges, or using the report in an autobiography.
