United States. Army. Tactical Air Command, 12th. Commanding General.
Discusses damage caused to locomotives by fighter-bomber attacks. The maximum period an engine was out of service was 30 days, and on no occasion was an engine so severely damaged that it could not be repaired. The letter suggests a new method of classifying damaged locomotives to give a more accurate impression of the effectiveness of the attacks.
