Contains seven items including two typescript drafts of the introductiory material and parts I-V of Sir Trafford Leigh-Mallory's official despatch to General Eisenhower submitted on the dissolution of AEAF [15/10/44]. The final text was submitted in November 1944 and published as the Fourth Supplement to The London Gazette of Tuesday 31/12/46, no.37838, 2/1/47, under the title 'Air Operations by the Allied Expeditionary Air Force in N.W. Europe from November 15th, 1943 to September 30th, 1944'. The drafts are heavily annotated in MS in various hands including that of SZ.
