Contains two ring-binders of chapter writing. Part 1 contains a list of chapters to write, and ms of separate chapters. Part 2 includes a list of what still has to be written, index to chapters written, and ms.

A folder contains various ms chapters: 'A People’s River', 'Beachcombing', 'Moonbeams and Tiderips', 'To Derbyshire', 'To Yorkshire', 'To Cornwall', 'Back to Cornwall', To Dorset', 'Extinctions', 'Messing About in Moats'.

Another ring-binder includes a revised structure and is marked for Dudley’s attention.

A green ring-binder contains first drafts and additional chapters. Includes notes on Houghton Fishing Club; ms on the Lords of the Fly; chapter writing on the River Cary in Somerset; Winchester; eels and Ely; notes and ms relating to coypu.
