Nicholson writes that he has `had the worst week eveer getting the paper through with Barry ill and all this Briand upset ... so I haven't [sic] had time to give a moments fresh thought to Syllabus.' [Kenneth] Lindsay had indicated that a paper `twice its present length ... will be quite as full as anything the other people are contemplating ... anything over three times this length would be a nuisance to the meeting.' A ms postscript he thanks Jack Pritchard `for your notes' (see PP/4/1/16/1).
