Scope and content

Jeremy has thought about whether he wants to stay in Canada or return to England but the reasons for each balance out. He wishes to stay to avoid moving back a year at school in England, but as long as he is in Canada he is a burden not only to his parents but also to the families with whom he stays. He doubts he could cope without Jonathan [who has planned to return to England in the spring of 1944]. As he cannot decide he leaves the final decision to Jack and Molly.
