Scope and content
Report of Peach's visit to Germany to see arts and crafts exhibitions. He mentions German developments in fabrics, pottery, toys, glassware, woodwork, leather, and printing. Peach visited a house designed by [Walter] Gropius and refers to the closing of the Bauhaus because it cost too much and did not produce enough, although he has heard it will re-open. Peach comments on the improved conditions in Germany and hopes the D.I.A. can set up some sort of exchange scheme as art "should know no frontiers". Mentions Professor Riemerschmid, Professor Niemeyer, Professor Mendelsohn, Dr Bauer, Professor Tiemann, and Dr Pallat.
