Lists the speakers at the Gropius dinner [to celebrate Gropius receiving the Royal Gold Medal] as Lord Esher, Julian Huxley, Max Fry, Henry Morris, Geoffrey Dunn and Jack Pritchard. Points out that Geoffrey Dunn was one of the few retailers who encouraged the sale of modern furniture in the Thirties. Pritchard suggests that Huxley's speech provides the link with the 1937 farewell dinner for Gropius
