One of Gropius's many visitors has been Hervey Rhodes M.P. who was keen to improve British industrial design. Gropius thinks young people in America may be interested in the [Isokon] long chair and he says that their General Panel Corporation has a contract to produce 8,500 houses in 1947. Gropius describes the difficulties of sending letters & parcels to Germany
