Gropius, Walter, 1883-1969 recipient
German and English texts. Shand has completed the translation of Gropius' essay. It should appear in the September issue of 'Concrete Way'. He discusses fees then explains that the 'Concrete Way' is not a prominent magazine but rather the mouthpiece of a reinforced concrete construction firm. Morton Shand has discussed translating the article Gropius is writing for Professor Read [Faber & Faber]. He says that Gropius' job in England should be secured within 6 months and that Shand's wife [Sybil] has been arranging for a flat at Lawn Road to be available. He explains who Soane was. He asks Gropius for a photograph of Adolf Loos' house
