Card from the Gropius exhibition. On the cover is a black and white photograph taken at the Gropius exhibition in Berlin. It shows Ise Gropius standing next to an exhibition poster of a high-rise building.
Ise was getting ready a version of this card for the exhibition when it tours the United States and Canada. First show was scheduled for 7/3/72 in the Fogg Museum in Cambridge.
The Arts Council turned down the exhibition because up until then they had not given a one-man show of a modern architect.
Ise had celebrated Thanksgiving with the Forbergs [daughter and son-in-law] and they would visit again for Christmas.
Reg Isaac's book [on Gropius and architecture] was to be published in 1973.
