Scope and content

Discusses the Gropius exhibition. Mentions the Arts Council's help, having the photographs prepared in England, and contacting Mrs Zuechner at the Bauhaus-Archiv about the photographs. Ise is selling a Paul Klee painting to pay for another set of exhibition photographs. She has failed to get support from the German Foreign Office. The Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities is interested in taking over the Gropius House. She gives news of family and friends: Ati, John Johansen, Erica and Sarina. Reg Isaacs is still working on his book [on Walter Gropius].

The TAC has completed the new AIA Headquarters in Washington (Fletcher) and has won a competition for the Johns Manville Co Headquarters near Denver.
