Ise discusses wild birds and says she would write about her experiences with wild racoons if Walter didn't have so much world-wide correspondence. Walter is back from Iraq where Mr. Kassem has officially blessed Gropius' University plans. It seems the Iraqis want education and training for their young people. They have scrapped Frank Lloyd Wright's opera house and Alvar Aalto's civic centre to concentrate on Gropius' university buildings and Corbu's [Le Corbusier's] stadium. The American Embassy building in Athens is finally under way so the Gropiuses may be in Europe in the summer. Annotated on recto with 'to do' list
