Coates describes his designs for a `family' of craft of varying kinds: an inshore or Broads type cruiser; an offshore racer-cruiser and a sea-going type cruiser. Design, dimensions and materials of these vessels are detailed. The designs are to be submitted to the Festival South Bank Exhibition, 1951. Requirements for the Exhibition are outlined. Coates offers to Molly and Jack Pritchard, directors of Martham BB & D Co, the construction job of the small vessel. Wingsails Ltd's role in the partnership is identified.
