Marion Coates is in hospital and expecting a kidney operation. Wells is unable to meet Pritchard in Paris but hopes to get there in January. He is moving to Welwyn Garden City, and will set up a studio and workshop and later build a house. Coates is working for Cresta Silk and is working on a shopfront for Cresta, Bournemouth. The design is explained. Paul Nash is to write up on the Welwyn job in the `Architectural Review'.
