Scope and content
Reply to Graham Maw's letter 1/2/33. Coates comments on the "delays which have occurred" and "the work of solving the shelter-problem". Coates discusses his ideas on "unit-construction". Plans of different type houses are discussed, and the constraints in the manufacturing and building of them. Coates remarks on his research work being halted due to a lack of reserve resources. Coates forsees that the Isokon designs for dwellings at the Dorland House Exhibition will not materialise.

An entirely new plan-form, revealed to Coates "by the gods" during his illness, is described. [This was later to be known as Sunspan Houses]. Coates' relationship with Isokon Ltd is discussed.
