Pritchard, John Craven, recipient
Fagan's cousin, Alistair Morton, suggested he contact Pritchard. Fagan is a partner in a publishing firm, Coward Arnold [?], and he is trying to find a job for a German friend, a refugee called H.E. Lasker. He had his own business in Germany in the plywood and veneer trade and recently worked in aeronautical research. He was automatically sacked as an alien when the war started but he has been given the all-clear to work by a tribunal. A job at Flexo Plywood did not come to fruition as they were on a contract from the service departments who suggested it would be unwise to employ an alien despite his having an official permit. Fagan hopes Pritchard can take Lasker on.
