Taylor Law contracted to manufacture metal fittings for Isokon bookshelves, which were then delivered to another firm, usually Handicrafts Ltd, which made up the shelves. The contract ran into problems, the most serious of which was with the paint finish on the fittings. This proved intractable and in 1938 Isokon decided to end production and sale of the bookshelves.
Taylor Law were also approached by Isokon to manufacture waste paper baskets and stacking chairs in aluminium; in both cases Taylor Law declined, considering their available plant and tools unsuitable and being unwilling to incur the cost of new, specialist equipment for the work.
