Pritchard, John Craven, recipient
Pritchard, having spoken to Blair & Kilcoyne, explains his reasons for not proceeding with an American patent. Having made several enquiries Pritchard came to the conclusion that no American manufacturer would produce a £10 chair when they are already producing chairs between $25 and $50. Nor could Breuer's chair be altered to place it in a higher price band as it it too light and appears too flimsy.
