Scope and content

Breuer agrees to produce five novel designs in the first year and grant Isokon a licence to produce his reclining chair, covered by Breuer's patent. A similar licence will not be offered to any other manufacturers without offering it to Isokon first. In return, Isokon will pay Breuer an advance of £150 to be repaid over two years by Breuer's royalties of 5%. Royalties will continue to be paid for a period of 10 years from the date of the production of the 500th article of each design. Any disputes will be referred to Walter Gropius, in the first instance.
