Pritchard, John Craven, recipient
Breuer confirms that almost anything can be exported to America, and furniture in particular will sell, depending on prices. It is possible that with shipping costs Pritchard could not compete with domestic American furniture. Plywood furniture is thin on the ground, as is most medium priced wooden furniture in America, so that is one possible area Pritchard could exploit. Breuer discusses Aalto's and Hans Knoll's furniture and says the long chair could sell in America if the price was between $80 and $120. He also gives the best prices to guarantee sales of tables. Breuer would like to come to Europe and possibly give some lectures, but it depends on finance. He discusses his latest work in the fields of aluminium and plywood furniture. Mentions the Britain Can Make It exhibition.
