Pritchard believes that there is a market for [Isokon furniture] amongst the American intelligentsia, particularly if parts were exported and the furniture, particularly the long chair, was assembled in America. Transportation costs, however, could be high. Another drawback would be the lower price of furniture in America which would make the parts, even before duty and shipping, too expensive. He asks Baker how much the long chair could sell for in America and whether he knows of any suitable firms Pritchard could collaborate with.
