Cooke confirms that English law states that the first importer of a foreign product is deemed to be the "first and true inventor". By this ruling Jack Pritchard could take out a British patent on [Wilhelm] Kienzle's bookshelf which Embru-Werke manufactures. However, to maintain friendly relations [Isokon] is prepared to pay royalties even though they are under no obligation to do so. Cooke also makes some points concerning other clauses of the draft agreement relating to improvements, overseas patents, and imitations. Describes [Isokon's] work and mentions their Walter Gropius is the controller of designs. Cooke hopes the two firms can come to an arrangement on the matter. With covering letter [PP/18/3/23/2/27].
