In 1929 John Russell (nurserymen) approach Pritchard through the agents Protheroe & Morris, and enquire about leasing land. In 1934 Isokon seek to lease land from John Russell and Gill & Reigate Ltd. Russell's land is adjacent to the Belsize Park tube station and is leased from London, Midland and Scottish Railway. Rees-Reynolds & Hunt (surveyors) approach John Russell Ltd and Gill & Reigate Ltd for the land to be sub-let to Isokon. The land is laid out for tennis courts and details regarding the maintenance, lease & responsibility of the tennis courts are included.
