Pentland thanks Pritchard for a letter and illustrations of concrete transmission line poles on the continent. Pentland does not see from an aesthetic point of view that they are superior to the steel lattice towers in Great Britain. He gives formal notice of his intention to retire from the Board of Directors of Wells Coates & Partners.
