Two typed annotated drafts of a lecture Jack Pritchard gave at Southwold, 26/4/85. Both 13 pp., second item is a photocopy of the first. Jack Pritchard discusses the process of industrial design, the need for a brief, consumer research, and product development. He illustrates his points with examples of his experience: building and designing Lawn Road Flats with Wells Coates; with Isokon producing the Long Chair designed by Marcel Breuer; and Jack Pritchard's work for Harris Lebus. Jack Pritchard discusses the ideas of Walter Gropius and the Bauhaus and goes on to call for a closer association between art and science in education.
