Arts and crafts movement
Two copies of a lecture given by Jack Pritchard at the Bauhaus-Archiv on 2/7/70. Jack Pritchard discusses the influence of the industrial revolution on art and design and compares the negative reactions of William Morris and the Arts and Crafts Movement with the positive attitudes in Europe and the U.S.A. Jack Pritchard goes on to discuss Walter Gropius and the Bauhaus, its aims and ideas. Jack Pritchard calls for a more dynamic attitude to design training and closer collaboration between art and technology.
