Scope and content
Peter values PC’s friendship and he has lost touch with many friends from Nuremberg days however the previous Easter he had seen the Fosberrys in Munich [John Fosberry was the former Section Chief, Office of Chief of Counsel for War Crimes]. His translation work had practically ceased. His wife Friedel was working full-time as a bilingual secretary for a Jewish manufacturer of oil burners. They cannot survive on his BCURA [British Coal Utilisation Research Association?] salary. Hanna [eldest of three daughters] would be taking A-levels and then go to Israel for a year. He and Friedel had celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. He usually goes to the Patent Office on a Friday and suggests they have lunch.
