Scope and content
Letter is in envelope with post mark 25/2/1949 (U.S. Army Postal Service), along with another letter. Envelope addressed to Patricia Wood at Pond Lye, Furzefield Road, Beaconsfield.
Letter addressed to ‘My darling Pussy’, on headed notepaper ‘Office of Chief of Counsel for War Crimes’. Refers to an imminent appendix operation which PC would be having. He would be going to Frankfurt the following day to sort out his visa. He would be seeing a friend, Wolf Rosenberg. Nuremberg had become “a pain in the neck”, especially with all the EES and ESS people. There is no room anywhere and the EES people are ill-mannered.
