Elspeth Graham had terminated Mal Peet’s agreement with his agent Peter Cox. Debra Hayward confirms that originally Will [Osborne, Hayward’s partner] had approached Cox [Will had produced a script for ‘Life’].
Graham reports that one of Peet’s unfinished books, ‘Beck’ had been completed by his friend Meg Rosoff and had been published.
Hayward had started a new company with Alison Owen and separately they had produced 'Bridget Jones' and 'You Before Me'. She is still interested in producing ‘Life: an Explosive Diagram’.
Plans are made to meet up at the Mal Peet Memorial Lecture (given by Frank Cottrell-Boyce) at the University of East Anglia, 11 July 2017. (8 printed emails, 2 leaves).
