Scope and content

Jessie Kenney (1887-1985) received a Certificate of Service for her work as a Deputy Master of the Rosicrucian Order's Francis Bacon Chapter (London) for the period 20/3/1957 - 20/3/1958. In the following years she began to write a history of the Chapter with the help of various members, who due to her ill health had to assist her with typing and editing in 1966. Jessie was an active member of the Rosicrucian Order for over 30 years until the last decade of her life when she was drawn towards Catholicism. She was received into the Roman Catholic Church on Christmas Day 1973 at her nursing home in Braintree. Certificate signed by Raymond Andrea, Grand Master.
