Ancient and Mystical Order Rosae Crucis
Turnbull, E.I.L. recipient
Letter, Ruth Farrer (Secretary to the Imperator of the Rosicrucian Order) to Mr Turnbull, (Master of the Francis Bacon Chapter, Surrey) to which Jessie Kenney (1887-1985) belonged in response to Turnbull's writing to inform the Order of Annie Kenney’s passing, written on 5/8/1953. Annie’s funeral was conducted following Rosicrucian ceremony and her ashes were scattered across the Yorkshire moors, which she loved as a child. In this letter, the Order extends its ‘heartfelt sympathy’ to the family of this ‘remarkable woman’, who was a member of the ‘Imperator’s personal class’. In the last years of her life, Annie completed a spiritual autobiography manuscript entitled 'And All the Yesterdays', based on principles of her Rosicrucian beliefs and was a dedicated member of the Rosicrucian Order until her death.
